Production of 3D metal letters

MOSQITO makes 3D letters, combining design, CNC flange forming and precise laser welding of the face to the flange.

The process uses laser cutting, a camera-guided laser welding system and a CNC bender for flanges. Geometry, fit and the look of the joint matter here.

How a 3D letter is made

  • Design – preparing the letter geometry; we can also make a 3D model.
  • Face – making the part to the design, including laser cutting.
  • Flange – forming on a CNC bender.
  • Fit – preparing the flange to join the face.
  • Laser welding – joining the flange to the face; camera-guided system.
  • Finishing – grinding or further work if the project requires it.
